The Castle of Pazin
The biggest and the best-preserved medieval fortress in Istria. It was first mentioned in documents from 983. Today, the Ethnographic Museum of Istria and the Museum of Pazin are located here.
Cave in Pazin
it attracted the attention of many who had a chance to see that unique work of natural forces. The Cave, together with the Castle of Pazin, is mentioned in the works of many travel writers such as Valvasor, Petronio, Yriarte… This cave also inspired a famous writer Jules Verne to create its novel Mathias Sandorf, where he describes how his heroes got through the cave from Pazin to Lim Channel.
The parish church of St. Nicholas
It was originally built in 1266, but it was rebuilt in 15th and 18th century. It is very interesting because of its star shaped presbytery with a fresco cycle painted around 1460. The church has the beautiful organ built by Gaetano Callido in 1780.

The Franciscan Monastery
It originates from the middle 15th century. It has a late Gothic presbytery based on the model of St. Nicholas. Through history, the monastery was used as the pharmacy and the hospital, as a public school and as a grammar school with classes.
Beram
One of the oldest continuously populated settlements in Istria located near Pazin. Explorations of the prehistoric necropolis on the south slopes of Beram are showing that during the iron age a settlement already existed here. 1 kilometer away from Beram is a Church of St. Marija na Skriljinah where you can see late Gothic frescoes which cover almost the entire interior of the church and were created by the famous master Vincent from Kastav.
Diocesan Seminary
It is one of the most impressive buildings in Pazin, built before the World War II with the purpose of a school home, but in the World War II used for the army, in 1945 became the diocesan seminary building, and since 1993 this is one of the first private secondary schools.
